Terms of Service

Last updated

In short. You own what you make. Cevrao never puts an image in a video unless you tap it, and tapping one confirms you may use it. The AI can be wrong, so check a script against its sources before you publish. The paid plan renews monthly until you cancel.

The sections that matter most are images in your video and AI, and checking before you publish.

1. The agreement

These Terms are a contract between you and Cevrao. By opening an account, or by using anything on cevrao.com, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Cevrao.

The Privacy Policy and the Copyright and Takedown page form part of this agreement. If you use Cevrao for a company or a client, you confirm you may accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Who we are

Cevrao is a sole proprietorship (עוסק פטור) registered in Israel. Our servers are in Germany. You can reach us at contact@cevrao.com.

3. What Cevrao does

Cevrao finds what is being written about in the niche you choose, turns one of those things into a draft with sources, a timed script and footage, and renders a vertical video with a synthetic voiceover and captions. You download the file and post it yourself.

It does not post for you and has no access to your social accounts. It does not promise views, followers or revenue. It does not verify that a source is true: it summarises public sources and keeps the links so you can check them.

4. Who may use it, and your account

You must be at least 13. If you are under 18 you may use Cevrao only with a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms with you, and only an adult may buy a paid plan. Where the law where you live sets a higher age for consenting on your own, that age applies instead. We do not knowingly hold data about a child under 13; tell us if we do and we will delete it.

You may not use Cevrao if sanctions law forbids us to serve you.

Google is the only way to sign in, so the security of your Google account is the security of your Cevrao account. One account per person: do not share, sell or rent it. Everything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think somebody else has got in.

5. Plans and limits

  • Free. 3 video generations in total, 10 drafts in total, 1 niche, and a small Cevrao mark on every video.
  • Creator, $25 a month. 20 video generations a day, unlimited drafts, up to 3 niches, no mark.

The feed is unlimited on both plans. The daily allowance resets each morning and nothing accumulates. A render that fails on our side does not spend a generation, but deleting does not give one back - otherwise a lifetime allowance would not be one. For the same reason, closing your account and signing up again with the same address gives you a new account and not a new free allowance: what you have spent stays spent.

We run ordinary automated abuse protection on our endpoints, set far above anything a person would reach. We may change what a plan includes; if a change makes a paid plan materially worse for you, you get notice under Changes to these Terms and may cancel first.

6. Payment, renewal and refunds

Creator is $25 per month in US dollars, plus any tax that applies where you are. Card payments are handled by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe and never to us.

The plan renews automatically each month at the price then in effect until you cancel. There is no minimum term. Cancel whenever you like and your paid features run to the end of the month you have paid for. Cancelling does not delete your work.

Refunds

  • If Cevrao failed to do what this page says it does and we could not fix it, write to us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund that month.
  • We do not otherwise refund a month you have started, except where the law where you live says we must.
  • Consumers in the EEA and the UK have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. If you asked us to start immediately you can still withdraw within those 14 days, and we refund what you paid less a proportion for the days you had it.
  • Consumers in Israel keep their rights under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, including cancelling a continuing transaction at any time.

If we change the price of a plan you are on, you get at least 30 days notice by email and may cancel before it applies. Where we give you a code, what it does and what the price returns to afterwards is shown before you pay. If a payment fails we may retry it and suspend the paid features until it succeeds; we do not delete your work over an expired card.

7. Your content, and ours

You own what you put in and what comes out. Your content means the niches you type, the files you upload, your edits, and the drafts and videos they produce. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, transcode and display it, solely to run Cevrao for you and only for as long as we hold it.

That licence does not let us publish your work, sell it, put it in marketing or show it to another user. We do not use your content to train AI models. If we ever want to feature something you made, we will ask you first.

You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload or place. We do not review uploads before they are used, and nobody here opens your files to look at them, but we do act on a credible report.

The Cevrao name, mark, website, software, prompts and the way the feed is ranked belong to us. You may not copy or reverse engineer the application, scrape the feed or the scripts, use our output to train or evaluate a machine learning model, or build a competing service from it.

8. Images in your video

Cevrao never places an image on its own. Every image in every video is there because you tapped it. If you tap nothing, your video has no images. There are two sources and no others.

Images from the article

We show you the single share image the publisher itself declares on its own page, the way a search result shows a thumbnail. We do not scrape the page for other pictures and we never preselect one.

These are ordinary copyrighted press photographs. We do not own them and cannot license them to you. Placing one is your decision and your responsibility. If you are not certain you may use a picture, do not place it. A credit reading via {publisher} is rendered under the image and must not be removed. At most three images may be placed in one video.

We record where each image came from - the article, the publisher, the headline, who placed it and when - and we keep that record after you delete the draft, so a complaint can be answered.

Images you upload

A file from your own machine. We strip the embedded metadata on the way in, including any location a camera wrote into it, store it privately and serve it only to you.

What you confirm

The first time you place any image you confirm one sentence: I have the right to use this image in my video. That is a representation you make to us, and it applies to every image you place afterwards.

If an image shows an identifiable person, publicity and privacy rights may also apply and they are yours to clear. On a valid complaint we remove the image and re-render or withdraw the affected videos, as the Copyright and Takedown page sets out. Accounts that infringe repeatedly are closed.

9. Music, footage, fonts and the voice

Clips and photographs come from stock libraries under licences that permit commercial use with no attribution. You owe nobody a credit for them.

Some music beds and sound effects are Cevrao originals; the rest are licensed for use as part of a rendered video and not as standalone audio. So you may publish and monetise a video containing one, but you may not extract the audio or redistribute it as a track. Caption fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

The narration is synthetic speech. It is not a recording of a real person and you must not present it as one. Music you upload yourself is your responsibility, the same as an image.

Videos on the Free plan carry a small Cevrao mark. Removing, cropping or covering it is a breach of these Terms.

10. The video you generate

Subject to Images in your video and Music, footage, fonts and the voice, the video is yours. Post it, monetise it, run ads against it, use it for a client. We claim no ownership, take no cut and need no credit, and we never post your videos anywhere.

Two caveats we would rather say than have you discover. In several countries, including the United States, a work produced substantially by a machine may not attract copyright protection at all, so we do not promise you can stop somebody reusing it. And TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook each require AI-generated or altered media to be labelled in their own way; meeting that is between you and the platform, and we recommend you label it.

11. AI, and checking before you publish

The research, the script and the voice come from AI models, and models get things wrong, confidently. Output can invent a detail, misstate a number, get a name or a date wrong, or summarise a source in a way the source does not support.

Every draft keeps the links it was built from. That is not decoration, it is the check you are expected to do. Never publish a Cevrao script about health, medicine, money, investing, law, safety, an election or a named living person without verifying it yourself. Captions are timed against the real audio but automatic transcription can mis-hear a word.

We give no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or originality of anything a model produces. You are the publisher of anything you post.

12. What you may not do

Do not use Cevrao to make anything that:

  • is illegal where you are, where we are, or where you publish it;
  • sexualises a child, in any form, real or generated. No edge cases and no appeal: the account closes and we report it;
  • is sexually explicit, or sexualises a real person without their consent;
  • promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or gives instructions for weapons or serious harm;
  • attacks people for their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation;
  • harasses or threatens an identifiable person, or exposes their private information;
  • promotes self-harm, suicide or an eating disorder;
  • distributes malware, phishing or fraud;
  • infringes the copyright, trade mark or database rights of somebody else.

And do not misrepresent what the product made. Do not present the synthetic voice as a named person, impersonate a real person, company or news outlet, fabricate something a real person said or did, or present a generated video as verified reporting or professional advice. Commentary, criticism and satire about public figures are fine; fabrication and impersonation are not.

Do not attack or abuse the service either: no automating against it, scraping it, running extra accounts to get round a limit, reselling access, uploading files crafted to break the processing that reads them, or probing for other accounts. Genuine security research is welcome - report it to contact@cevrao.com with Security in the subject, keep to your own account and data, do not degrade the service for anybody else, and we will not pursue you for it.

13. Availability, and the services we depend on

Cevrao is provided with no uptime guarantee, on either plan. It runs on a single server, and deploys, maintenance and upstream outages happen. We may add, change or remove features, limits, models, voices and sources. Download the videos you care about: files are removed on the schedule in the Privacy Policy, and Cevrao is not a place to archive your work.

Parts of Cevrao run on services other companies operate: Google for sign-in, OpenAI for the models, Stripe for payments, and the stock libraries the footage and music come from. They are listed in the Privacy Policy. Their terms apply to you as well, in respect of what they do. We do not control them, cannot guarantee they stay available, and are not responsible for what happens on them. A link to a source article is a reference, not an endorsement of the publisher or of what the article says.

14. Suspension and closing your account

Stop whenever you like. Settings has a Delete my account button, and it deletes the account, your answers, your drafts and scripts, your uploads and the videos we hold, at once and for good - so download anything you want to keep first. You can also email contact@cevrao.com from the address you signed up with and we will do it for you. What we keep afterwards is listed in the Privacy Policy, and closing an account does not return a free allowance you have already spent.

We may suspend or close an account for breach of these Terms, for repeat infringement, for unpaid charges, for attacking the service, or where the law requires it. Where it is lawful and safe we will tell you why and give you a chance to reply, and if we got it wrong we reinstate the account and refund the time you lost. Anything in these Terms that by its nature should outlast your account does, including the sections on content, images, media, liability and governing law.

15. Warranties, liability and indemnity

Cevrao is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or uninterrupted operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cevrao is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, audience, channel access or goodwill.

Our total liability for all claims taken together will not exceed the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from content you uploaded or placed, a video you published, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of somebody else. This applies only so far as the law that applies to you permits.

If you are a consumer in the EEA, the UK, Israel, Australia or New Zealand, you have statutory rights that this section cannot remove and does not try to.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, nothing above deprives you of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, or of the right to bring proceedings locally where your law gives you that right.

Before starting anything formal, email us and describe the problem. Most things end there. This is a request, not a bar on your rights.

17. Changes to these Terms

The date at the top says when the current version took effect. For a material change we give at least 30 days notice, by email or in the product, before it applies to you. Continuing to use Cevrao after a change takes effect means you accept it.

If you do not accept a change, stop and cancel; if you had paid for a month you will not now use, we refund the unused part. Ask us for the previous version at any time.

18. General, and how to reach us

These Terms and the documents named at the top of them are the whole agreement about Cevrao. If a court finds part of it unenforceable the rest stands. Not enforcing something once does not give it up. You may not transfer your account; we may transfer this agreement if the business is sold, and will tell you. We are not liable for failing to do something because of an event beyond our reasonable control. These Terms are written in English and the English version governs.

Everything reaches the same place: contact@cevrao.com, or the contact form. For a copyright complaint see the Copyright and Takedown page; for your data, Privacy, your rights; for a security problem, put Security in the subject line.
